The Middle Country

China In The New Era

I've spent a disproportionate amount of my life in China (a country who's name in Chinese translates to "Middle Country") learning as much about the people there as I did about myself.  It is a place of mixed beauty and utility, tranquility and cacophony.  It is a place unlike any other in the world and though Western culture continues to trickle in, it will likely never temper entirely to the Western perspective.  China's identity is strong, as is the unity of its people, all one-point-something billion of them.
